Handcrafted cutting board made with Hard Maple with Purpleheart and Lacewood accents. Maintenance: Wash with soap & hot water. 15.5" x 14"
Each piece of Wood Art is unique and fully functional. The wood for each was chosen based on the tone and grain pattern of the selected species. The design and accent patterns selected by the artist were developed to highlight the individuality of the woods chosen. The solid construction assures the piece will be usable for many years. Only food safe products were used. Waterproof glue and biscuit joinery were used to assure the highest quality.
About the artist: Robert Alexander is a retired engineer who has been a serious woodworker for over twenty years. His home and workshop are in Fenton, Michigan but enjoys summer weekends at this cottage near Lexington. Although his main work has been in major pieces of furniture, he enjoys the creativity he is able to express in the smaller more artistic pieces.
